Engleska verzija:

1.First of all, introduce yourself - who you are and when did you start your journey in Debian?

I got started in Debian rather a long time ago, in 1996, so I have a long history with the project. I've taken a year away once or twice, and been paid to work full-time on developing Debian a few times as well. For me Debian provides an overarching context for whatever interests me at a given time, whether it be making Debian easy to install, or one of my current main interests, the Haskell programming language.

2. You were attending the DebConf11 in Banja Luka - did it all go well and was it a successful DebConf?

I think it was a great DebConf!

3. In your opinion, how well did the local community from Banja Luka do their job?

Hosting DebConf is such a big job, I'm always in awe of what local groups put together, and this time was no exception. I was especially impressed with how involved the local government was with making DebConf a success.

4. On what hacking/talks did you spent during the DebConf?

For me, hacking is an all-encompassing activity, best practiced in remote cabins where it doesn't hurt to vanish for a day or a week until you're done. So I think I managed to avoid doing that at DebConf this
time. I had some good discussions with people I work with on various projects within Debian, and as always these face-to-face meetings lead to faster progress when we're back home hacking.

As to talks, I especially liked the more ad-hoc and loosely organised talks at this DebConf. The smallest meeting room hosted a series of interesting tutorials, discussions, etc. I was also impressed by how
many of the talks this year dealt with a broader context than Debian alone, covering subjects like the FreedomBox and general ways to improve use of cryptographic authentication.

5. How do you think DebConf will impact on Republic of Srpska?

I hope it will increase interest in Free Software, Linux, and Debian. I remember when we were gathered at dinner, and suddenly there we were on the news on tv!

6. Did you enjoyed your stay in Banja Luka?

I did not see as much of Banja Luka as I would have liked, mostly only
immediately around the Cultural Center. I had one memorable dinner in
the restaurant at the castle, which was a gastronomical delight.
I've only begun to understand the food (and drink) of the area, but I like
what I experienced.

7. Will you visit Banja Luka again some day (or you maybe liked it so much  that you wouldn't mind helding again a DebConf here in future ;) ) ?

I'd like to see more of BiH. The mountians near Banja Luka were great to visit, and I wished I could spend more time there.

8. Share any anegdots from DebConf11 and share any additional thought that you might see as important?

I arrived in Banja Luka after a massive two day road trip across Europe, in a convoy of three cars from the UK, preceeded by flying from the US to London. When we reached the hotel, there was a wedding reception in progress. It was *loud*! I was jetlagged and road-weary. But listening
to the music filter up to the top of the hotel and the other sounds of the city at night, through the rain, is a memory I'll treasure. DebConf11 put Bosnia and Herzegovina on the map for me.

Srpska verzija:
